In July 2024, Zhao-yang Lin’s Group, Hao Zhang’s group, and Yuan Li’s group collaborated on introducing a liquid-metal-assisted method for producing solution-processable 2D semiconductor inks from low-cost crystal powders, eliminating the need for expensive bulk crystals. The process yields high-quality MoS? nanosheets and enables the fabrication of large-area electronic devices at a significantly reduced cost.
